- Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, Furlough Reclaim Percentages: Previously, the percentage of pay eligible for Furlough payments was set at 80% by default, with the ability to manually change this at individual employee level. As the rules of the scheme have evolved and it has become clearer how HMRC wish these percentages to be applied over time, we have removed the need to control this manually and have entirely automated it instead, to help minimise the potential for error.
- Furlough Reclaim Reports (Employer’s NIC & Pension Contributions): These reports have been amended to ensure continuing compliance with HMRC reclaim rules, which are changing as of August 1st 2020:
Previously they would display Employer’s NICs and Pension contributions paid for each employee, together with the amount that is reclaimable. They have been changed to detect where the starting date of a pay period is on or after 1st August 2020 and where so, to exclude ER’s NICs and Pension payments from the reclaimable value. Periods that began before 1st August are not affected by this change.
- Furlough Reclaim Reports (Maximum Reclaim Cap): These reports have been amended to ensure continued compliance with HMRC reclaim rules, as they are set to change through September and October 2020. The CL Release.pdf includes further details of the changes. You can also view HMRC Changes to Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme here
- Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, Notification of Percentage Changes: A new ‘pop-up’ message will be displayed upon the opening of any new Pay Cycle that will be affected by HMRC’s revised furlough reclaim percentage rules.
- Furloughed Staff Report & Staff List printout: 2 new options have been added to the Furloughed Staff Report to enable filtering by employees whose Furlough is based on Regular Pay or Flexible Furlough. The ‘Use Regular’ and ‘Flexible Furlough’ indicator fields have been added to the Staff List printout for further clarity.
- Stock: The Stock by Product report (CSV format) has been changed to include the Site Search Name (as it already does on the print preview and PDF versions of this report).
- Furloughed Staff: The Remove All button on the Furloughed Staff screen now has a confirmation prompt to prevent any unintentional clicks from taking all staff off furlough.
